Make a Stock Gift

Gifting Shares of Stock

Did you know you can contribute shares of stock as an in-kind gift to Foodshare?

Often, friends of Foodshare will donate appreciated stock in lieu of cash. The shares are valued for gift purposes at their full fair market value. Transferring the shares in kind will alleviate the need to sell the stock prior to the gift, perhaps incurring a capital gain.
