Gloria McAdam Million Meal Challenge |
Help us to provide one million meals by September 30! Gloria McAdam, Foodshare's President & CEO for over 30 years, passed away in January. Last fall, when asked what she was most proud of about this work, she said, "The people who joined me on the path. It was always about the people." Without these people, Foodshare would not be the organization it is today. Our dedicated and generous donors, volunteers, staff and community partners all work toward one goal: serving our neighbors in Hartford and Tolland counties who are struggling to get access to enough healthy food. In Gloria's honor, Foodshare has launched the Million Meal Challenge. Our goal is to raise the funds necessary to provide one million meals ($400,000) by September 30, the end of Hunger Action Month. Will you help us meet the Challenge? Thanks to a generous group of friends and donors, your gift will be matched! What Does A Meal Mean To You?A meal means something different to everyone and that includes you! Please share your thoughts below to have your quote featured on Foodshare's social media. |
