What's on your wish list this year?

If you look at the wish list of many residents of Greater Hartford,

you might be surprised at what you find: food, heat, a job.

...4 Days Left to November 24th

Remember to submit photos of your Turkey and a Twenty

event by email. They'll post to the album above!

While many of us look forward to a happy and healthy year-end with our family and friends, there are those who worry about making it to their next meal. Help relieve their anxiety this year...Join the Campaign and help your neighbors find peace this holiday season.

There are 3 great ways you can help...

1.)  Sign up today for the 1,000 Turkey Challenge

Engage your office, church or family & friends by hosting your own Turkey & a Twenty collection event to support Foodshare. Getting friends involved means more families will be helped!

2.)  Donate to support Foodshare's Turkey and a Twenty Campaign

Show your individual support and help feed your hungry neighbors this holiday season, and year-round. To you it's just a turkey, but to some it's a reason to give thanks!

3.)  Become a volunteer

We have filled all of our Turkey and a Twenty volunteer vacancies for Thanksgiving-related opportunities. But we rely on volunteers year-round for help with our ongoing work to end hunger.

Donor Spotlight

Shaw's Logo

2009 is on track to become one of the more challenging years in recent times with an anticipated increased need for food of about thirty percent!  The food industry continues to be our biggest supporter donating over 80% of all the food that Foodshare distributes. And as large a role as that is, there are those who look for and welcome additional ways to participate in our fight to end hunger. Such  is the case with Shaw's Supermarkets! Read more...
