Foodshare is changing what it means to be a food bank
As Greater Hartford’s regional food bank, Foodshare’s mission is to lead an informed, coordinated response to hunger in our community. We’re looking for people who have the skills and desire to help make this bold mission a reality. Foodshare employees are our most valuable resource. We believe in providing an environment where our employees succeed and enjoy life while balancing work, family and community. Foodshare offers a variety of career opportunities with competitive salaries and benefits packages.
Here’s what some of our staff have to say about working at Foodshare:
“Working at Foodshare is more than just a job. It has a long-term impact on our community. The programs that we set-up and support feed hundreds of people every day.”
“After working most of my career selling food, it makes me feel good to know that I am now able to help Foodshare provide food to people who cannot provide it for themselves. I go to bed at night knowing I made a difference.”
“I’ve always wanted to work at a nonprofit, and now at Foodshare I get to work with supportive staff and volunteers to make a difference in our local community.”
