Funds raised from the Walk support Foodshare and our partner programs who serve the 121,000 people in Hartford and Tolland counties struggling with food insecurity. The funds also support long-term efforts to increase access to healthy food and address the underlying issues that contribute to hunger. Last year alone we were able to provide enough food for nearly 12 million meals to help our friends and neighbors in Greater Hartford. More than 1/3 of that food was fresh produce - providing healthy options for the people we serve. In supporting the Foodshare Walk Against Hunger, you will help us continue this important work.
